our pastor

If you have ever encountered the ministry of Bishop Hezekiah Pressley, Jr., then you know that heaven has kept in store one of its greatest gifts to be released into the earth realm for such a time as this.  Bishop Pressley operates in the anointing of the five-fold ministry, issuing help to the hurting and bringing the Body of Christ fitly joined together.

Born December 19, 1956, Bishop Pressley is a native of Beech Island, South Carolina. He united in holy matrimony in 1980 to the former Jeannette Murray.  They have three children: Terrell, Jeremiah, and Jeniece and three grandchildren: Jabari, Jamyla and Jorie.  Bishop also has a host of adopted children.

As his testimony bears witness, Bishop Pressley's young life was riddled with anger, violence, and depression; however, his passion turned to God in 1982.  From that moment forward, his drive has been to know another side of God.  Surpassing many of his friends and relatives in his quest to know the God that drew him, Bishop Pressley was licensed into the ministry in April of 1985.  He served in the evangelistic field for more than eight years, then went on to become a youth pastor.  In October of 1993, he became pastor of Shining Stars Evangelistic Outreach Ministry, pastoring approximately twenty people (the majority of whom were children).  Stepping out on a promise from God, the ministry moved to its former location in August of 1994.  December of 1998 brought about changes as Bishop Pressley left his occupation of seventeen years and stepped into full-time ministry.  In the same month, he dissolved Shining Stars Ministry and founded New Beginning Ministries.  Since 1998, New Beginning Ministries has grown to a congregation of more than four hundred people and growth continues.  In 2003, Bishop Pressley was consecrated as the apostolic father of Unity Covenant Fellowship which has since been renamed to Father's House, answering the call of shepherds crying out for help.  He now covers 15 pastors from various cities across the southern United States. In 2008, Bishop Pressley along with his congregation moved to its current location.

Bishop Pressley's cutting-edge ministry attracts youth and adults, men and women alike.  He instructs Bible studies for men and ministers bi-weekly.  He also conducts services at two federal prisons in South Carolina on a monthly basis.  In addition, he summons his people to gather whenever the Spirit necessitates that he address a particular group or issue, always giving the people of God the upper hand to thwart the plans of the enemy.

Bishop Pressley is a man of wisdom and revelation, gladly sharing with others the insight that God has so graciously made known to him.  His teaching and preaching unveil Gods Word in such a way that the people of God leave edified, enlightened, equipped, and energized.  He discerns the mantle that God rests upon him for the hour and walks in that vein until he has deposited all that God has for that particular people.  He is branded as Help for the Hurting and he sincerely believes that what comes from the heart touches the heart.
