our first lady

Elder Jeannette Murray Pressley is the First Lady of New Beginning Ministries, Inc., where she also serves as elder of the Women’s Ministry.  There is a meek, gentle spirit of grace that rests on Lady Pressley, enabling her to minister to those who seem unreachable.  She is a Proverbs 31 Woman, walking in integrity, power, and peace.  She is gentle yet firm, compassionate yet uncompromising.  She exudes strength and dignity with an impeccable character.

Bathed in prayer and purpose, Lady Pressley fulfills a demanding appointment to serve as the woman of God at the side of Bishop Hezekiah Pressley, Jr., Pastor and Founder of New Beginning Ministries.  She is the mother of three biological children, Terrell, Jeremiah, and Jeniece, and she is the grandmother of three, Jabari, Jamyla and Jorie.  Also added to the fold are a multitude of spiritual sons and daughters.  Her calling exceeds that of being First Lady to the Bishop and the mother of three; it extends to being a woman of God who speaks wisdom and encouragement to the displaced and rejected.  Her motherly spirit releases gentleness to those who are hurting and loving correction to those who are straying.

Candidly sharing her testimony, Lady Pressley encourages others regarding the power of prayer.  Saved before her husband, she prayed that God would bring him in, but what God had planned exceeded her greatest expectations.  Told by doctors that she could not bear children, she chose to cling to the hope she had in God and was blessed with three.  Pressing on through financial struggles, hurt, and countless attacks of the enemy, Lady Pressley has emerged with the strength of an eagle and the grace of a dove.

Lady Pressley’s devotion to God and dedication to her husband will cause her to speak over the lives of millions.  Blessed with poise and humbleness, her life is an example of one who does not have to speak loudly to be heard.  Lady Pressley’s easy spirit and love for people command attention without loudness or the need for center stage.  Her husband often says she never meets a stranger; such is the heart of God -- to love and accept His people just as they are.  Her heart’s sincere desire is to please God and walk in His perfect will for her life.
